Noerr advises on the sale of the hearing aid specialist audibene to the Sivantos Group

The law firm Noerr has comprehensively advised the shareholders of audibene GmbH on the sale of all shares. The purchaser is the Sivantos Group, a majority-owned subsidiary of the Swedish private equity investor EQT.

audibene is specialised in advising on and distributing hearing aids and was founded as a start-up business in Berlin in 2012. The company today operates the largest online portal for independent hearing advice and the sale of digital hearing aids in Europe. The founders, Paul Crusius and Dr Marco Vietor, will remain responsible for the operative business as the company’s managing directors.

The Noerr team was headed by the Berlin partner and private equity and venture capital specialist Felix Blobel. Recent high-profile cases handled by Noerr in area of private equity/venture capital include advising the Lazada Group on a 200 million euro round of financing and advising Rocket Internet on its investment in Delivery Hero (volume approximately 500 million euros).
