Noerr advises Deutsche Telekom AG in connection with US litigation commenced by minority shareholders of T-Mobile US, Inc.
Noerr is advising Deutsche Telekom AG in connection with a putative class action and derivative litigation related to the merger between its subsidiary T-Mobile US, Inc. and US mobile communications company Sprint in 2020. The legal dispute is pending in the Delaware Court of Chancery. The plaintiffs are shareholders of T-Mobile US. The defendants are Deutsche Telekom AG, SoftBank Group Corp. as Sprint’s majority shareholder at the time and former board members of T-Mobile US. Noerr is advising Deutsche Telekom primarily in relation to the involvement of its D&O insurers.
Noerr is working closely on the case with the legal department at Deutsche Telekom AG, Deutsche Telekom’s in-house broker DeTe Assekuranz GmbH, its US litigation counsel Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP and US coverage counsel Covington & Burling LLP.
