Noerr advises KATEC shareholder on sale of his company to Hannover Finanz
A Noerr team led by Alexander Hirsch and Lars Bühren has advised Gerd Müller, founder and previous sole shareholder of KATEC Kanaltechnik Müller & Wahl GmbH, regarding the sale of his shares in the company to an acquisition company owned by private equity investor Hannover Finanz. The transaction proactively establishes a succession plan for KATEC.
KATEC is one of Germany’s leading companies in trenchless rehabilitation and maintenance of wastewater pipes and sewer systems. As part of a buy-and-build strategy, Hannover Finanz intends to establish a powerful national platform for trenchless sewer rehabilitation and maintenance. This transaction follows the investor’s platform strategy in the field of critical infrastructure services. After the takeover, KATEC will continue to operate independently.
The parties have agreed not to disclose details of the transaction value.
