Noerr advises lender on refinancing of ALBA

A Noerr team led by Nikolai Warneke and Alexander Schilling has advised Commerzbank in its role as documentation agent on successfully refinancing the syndicated loan financing for ALBA plc & Co. KG (ALBA) taken out in 2021. Under the lead of Commerzbank, the banks involved in the refinancing increased the loan volume to EUR 350 million with a new five-year term and extension options. ING and LBBW acted as coordinators in the syndicate.

The refinancing will give the ALBA Group the necessary flexibility to continue pursuing its corporate objectives. With turnover of €1.35 billion (2024) and 5,400 employees, ALBA is one of Europe’s leading recycling and environmental service providers and raw materials suppliers.
