A Noerr team jointly headed by Michael Schuhmacher and Martina Buller has advised a consortium of banks and insurance companies led by UniCredit Bank GmbH and Kreissparkasse Biberach on the financing of UPFRONT GROUP’s acquisition of the Heidersberger Group and Rudolf Schweiger Abdichtung und Isolierbau GmbH & Co. UPFRONT GROUP is strengthening its platform in the field of aluminium, glass and sheet metal facades by adding the Heidersberger Group, a leading specialist with an integrated value chain. The company, headquartered in Greven, North Rhine-Westphalia, covers the entire process chain from planning and production through to installation of complex façade structures, such as unitised facades, windows and mullion-transom systems, as well as sophisticated bespoke constructions. By acquiring Rudolf Schweiger Abdichtung und Isolierbau GmbH & Co. KG, UPFRONT GROUP is also expanding its service portfolio to include an established specialist in high-quality flat roof and sealing systems. Based in Gräfelfing near Munich, the company has been active in the market for over 50 years and is one of the leading providers of complex flat roof solutions in Southern Germany.

UPFRONT GROUP is pursuing a long-term buy-and-build strategy in the fragmented building envelope market. Its objective is to create an integrated, cross-material platform for building envelope solutions that combines technical specialisation with a scalable organisational structure, as well as a strong focus on sustainability and sophisticated design.
