This transaction demonstrates Rothschild & Co’s continued commitment to its German wealth management business in a strategically important market to the Group. As part of the acquisition, Rothschild & Co will obtain a German banking license. This represents a key milestone in the transformation of its business model in Germany towards a fully-fledged banking platform, which will provide the foundation for efficiently implementing the planned expansion of its service offering for clients. At the same time, Rothschild & Co aims to further enhance its profile as a key player in the German wealth management market.
The completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.
