Automotive supplier Kaiser rescued – Noerr advises insolvency administrator Dr. Michael Jaffé on successful sale
With the support of the law firm Noerr, the takeover of the insolvent automotive supplier Kaiser by a strategic investor has been successfully completed. Insolvency administrator Rechtsanwalt Dr. Michael Jaffé continued the business until the takeover by the Indian Amtek Group. Amtek will continue the business in full and retain all 640 employees of the Bavarian company. With a team led by Munich corporate partner Dr. Florian Becker, Noerr advised the insolvency administrator throughout the investor process.
Kaiser is a significant supplier of gearboxes, engines and brakes and includes top tier automotive suppliers among its customers as well as leading car manufacturers. The production facilities are at the headquarters in Aicha vorm Wald and a works in Strasskirchen-Salzweg (Passau region). In recent months, a number of strategic and finance investors submitted binding offers. Amtek was ultimately the successful bidder. The Amtek Group is a family managed company but with access to the capital markets (listed on the Indian stock exchange NSE in Mumbai and the Bombay Stock Exchange).
