Noerr has been distinguished by legal magazine JUVE as “Law Firm of the Year for Regulated Industries” and “Law Firm of the Year for Distribution”. The awards were presented in Frankfurt on Thursday evening.

Holger Schmitz, head of Regulatory & Governmental Affairs at Noerr, stressed: “Nowadays, regulatory matters are crucial risk factors for businesses. That’s why regulatory advice has been one of our firm’s strategic growth areas for some time. We provide cross-disciplinary advice, whether to the financial sector or healthcare industry or to clients from the TMT sector. Owing to our position at the top end of the market, we are able, time and again, to rapidly incorporate new advisory fields, such as on new energy or mobility concepts, where we concentrate above all the expertise of our energy, telecommunications and environmental law experts.” In its justification, the JUVE jury stated that “Networked mobility is the key issue for the future in the transport sector, and Noerr is at the forefront.” Holger Schmitz commented: “We are pleased that JUVE made a particular point of emphasising the successful work of our young partners.”

Besides this, Noerr was distinguished as “Law Firm of the Year for Distribution” for the fourth time. In this area, the firm’s experts have been the uncontested market leaders for many years and were able to once again convince the JUVE jury of the high quality and dynamism of their integrated approach to advice. This applies especially to the automotive, franchise and financial sectors. “We have also substantially strengthened our base in Hamburg and earlier this year we concentrated and connected our firm’s distribution and IT know-how in the Digital Business practice group,” said Karl Rauser, co-head of Digital Business. “The continuing digitalisation of the distribution chain is more than just a topic on which we advise – we actively shape it,” underlined Thomas Thalhofer, who is co-head of the practice group alongside Karl Rauser.

The firm was also nominated in the category “Technology and Media”.
