Noerr advises Allianz on sale of insurtech apinity to Munich Re

06.10.2022

A team from Noerr led by Florian Becker has advised Allianz’s subsidiary Syncier GmbH on the sale of all shares in apinity GmbH to Munich Re.

apinity enables insurance companies to utilise third-party insurance-specific API services on a software platform and to manage them together with their own APIs. The insurtech company was until recently a business unit of Syncier that operated under the name of Syncier Marketplace. As part of the transaction, which called for expertise in the fields of both digital business and M&A, Noerr first of all comprehensively structured the carve-out of the business unit, so that Munich Re was able to take over the technology platform with all existing third-party services, business relationships and employees. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
