Noerr advises HassiaGruppe on acquisition of Wüllner’s mineral spring operations

Noerr has advised the beverage manufacture HassiaGruppe on the takeover of Wüllner’s mineral spring operations. HassiaGruppe is acquiring Wüllner Group, which is headquartered in Bielefeld, Germany, on 1 January 2021.

As part of the transaction, all of Wüllner Group’s sites will be transferred to HassiaGruppe, which is based in Bad Vilbel. This includes the three Wüllner sites in North Rhine-Westphalia, Mecklenurg-Western Pomerania and Saxony-Anhalt, and the three well-known mineral water brands Carolinen, Güstrower Schlossquell and Gaensefurther Schloss Quelle. All three operations will be continued and their brand business expanded. Following the takeover of Wüllner Group by HassiaGruppe, around 1,750 employees will work for Hassia at eleven locations in future.

Noerr regularly advises HassiaGruppe on M&A transactions, most recently on the acquisition of organic soft drink brand ‘Bionade’ from Radeberger.
