Bain acquires Apleona from PAI – Noerr advises on multi-billion-euro transaction in facility management sector
A Noerr team led by Katrin Andrä, Tibor Fedke and Christian Pleister has advised Apleona’s minority shareholders and the Gegenbauer Group’s former owners on the sale of Apleona, a leading European provider of integrated facility management services. Apleona is being acquired by the investment firm Bain Capital, with the seller being private equity investor PAI. The transaction, valued at €4 billion, has now been successfully completed.
Two years ago, the same Noerr team advised the Gegenbauer Group on its merger with Apleona. Now, under Bain Capital’s ownership, the facility management group, which has more than 40,000 employees and a turnover of €4 billion, is expected to continue its dynamic growth trajectory.
The exit transaction now completed forms part of Noerr’s ongoing advisory work for the Gegenbauer Group’s shareholders. This follows Noerr’s extensive advice on the successful merger in 2023.
