12.12.2025

Noerr’s Energy & Infrastructure practice group led by Tibor Fedke and Alexander Schilling advises Macquarie Bank on the funding of the data centre project of Polarise. GmbH.

Deutsche Telekom is building an AI data centre there together with the US chip developer Nvidia. Polaris is the infrastructure partner for the project.

As part of an integrated team, Noerr advised on the term loan agreement for Polarise, on project financing, real estate and tax law issues, regulation and the minimisation of restructuring risks. The project underlines the firm's expertise in advising cutting-edge technology companies on complex financing transactions and in the infrastructure sector in general.

Polarise is one of the few German end-to-end AI data centre providers with locations in Germany and Europe, offering a modular infrastructure platform specifically designed for modern AI workloads with the aim of giving companies access to sovereign AI computing power.
