Noerr advises Schwarz Digits on joint venture with Berlin university hospital for secure interconnection of health data

16.04.2026

A Noerr team led by Gerald Reger and Moritz Koch has advised Schwarz Digits on establishing a joint venture with a Berlin university hospital.

The joint venture will be set up through the newly founded Schwarz Charité Health Data GmbH, which will operate a platform for the secure interconnection of health data. The aim is to facilitate the exchange and use of medical data under the highest data protection standards, thereby supporting modern research and patient care. The platform will run on STACKIT’s sovereign cloud infrastructure, ensuring that full data sovereignty remains in Germany.

The partnership combines Schwarz Digits’ technological strength with the medical expertise of the university hospital. Schwarz Digits holds a 75% stake in the joint venture, while the university hospital holds 25%.

Noerr and the companies of Schwarz Group have a long-standing working relationship. In recent years, teams led by Gerald Reger have regularly advised Schwarz Group on joint ventures in the fields of technology and artificial intelligence.
