Noerr advises AD Ports Group on the acquisition of MBS Logistics
Acting as lead counsel, a Noerr team headed by Martin Neuhaus and Laurenz Tholen is advising Abu Dhabi-based AD Ports Group on its acquisition of MBS Logistics, a Germany-based global integrated logistics services provider.
The addition of MBS Logistics provides Noatum Logistics, the logistics arm of the AD Ports Group, an important entry point into the vital Central European market through MBS Logistics’ well-established logistic network, while broadening the Group’s trade lane offering. In addition to its core business – freight forwarding in Germany and Central Europe – MBS Logistics also has established operations in China, Vietnam and the USA. Noatum Logistics is pursuing an expansion strategy that combines organic growth with targeted, value accretive acquisitions.
The acquisition represents another significant step in AD Ports Group’s strategy to enhance operational scale, manage larger volumes, and expand its global footprint.
Established in 2006, AD Ports Group today serves as a global enabler of trade, logistics, and industry, as well as a bridge linking Abu Dhabi to the world. Listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, AD Ports Group’s vertically integrated business approach has proven instrumental in driving the Emirate’s economic development over the past decade.
Completion of the acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in H2 2026.
