Noerr advises BayernLB on the EUR 586 million refinancing of the VGP Rheingold portfolio

Noerr has advised Bayerische Landesbank on the successful refinancing of the VGP Rheingold portfolio, with a total volume of EUR 586 million. The transaction is one of the most significant for our Banking & Finance team and one of the largest this year.

The portfolio comprises 53 logistics properties with a total lettable area of 1,131,813 sqm, held by 21 German and Luxembourg borrowers. In addition to German law, the transaction involved matters of Luxembourg, Czech and Belgian law.

Headquartered in Belgium, the VGP Group develops, constructs, owns and manages high-quality logistics and semi-industrial real estate across Europe. Including all joint ventures, its gross asset value amounts to approximately EUR 8.71 billion.

Noerr regularly advises on complex real estate financings, in particular portfolio financings and their refinancing.
