Noerr advises European Investment Bank on €15m financing of The Mobility House

24.08.2020

A Noerr team headed by Michael Schuhmacher and Andreas Naujoks has advised the European Investment Bank (EIB) in connection with the agreement on a €15 million loan to The Mobility House.  The funds will be used to boost intelligent integration of electric vehicles into the power grid

The loan will allow the Munich-based technology company to push ahead with the R&D for its intelligent Charging and Energy Management system ChargePilot, thereby supporting the rollout of electric vehicles along with their cost-effective and optimised integration into the power grid in Europe. The transaction is supported by the InnovFin Energy Demonstration Project facility, which is funded under the EU’s current research and innovation programme Horizon 2020.

The Mobility House group provides innovative charging and energy storage solutions for the mobility and energy industries including the integration of electric vehicles batteries into the power grid. The project concerns the installation of smart charging devices in residential and commercial/industrial facilities.

Recently, Noerr teams had provided legal advice to the EIB in particular on various loans to biopharmaceutical companies in Germany. The Frankfurt finance team regularly advises the EIB.
