Top restructuring lawyers: Noerr partners Thomas Hoffmann and Christian Pleister again feature in Wirtschaftwoche’s list of best lawyers

The business weekly WirtschaftsWoche (WiWo) has once again included Thomas Hoffmann and Christian Pleister in Germany’s “most respected restructuring lawyers”. According to a recent survey carried out by the magazine, which is owned by the Handelsblatt Media Group, both Noerr partners were recommended particularly often by the experts interviewed for the survey.

With this new distinction Thomas Hoffmann and Christian Pleister were able to repeat last year’s success in this survey. Christian Pleister also features in WiWo’s list of best corporate lawyers and best M&A lawyers.

Thomas Hoffmann specialises in providing insolvency law advice during corporate reorganisations both prior to insolvency and during court insolvency proceedings. Together with Martin Kleinschmidt he heads Noerr’s Restructuring and Insolvency practice, which advises clients on complex out-of-court and court reorganisation solutions. Christian Pleister, as co-head of Noerr’s Private Equity practice, regularly advises on transactions in critical situations. International investors such as distressed debt funds in particular rely on his expertise.

The Handelsblatt Research Institute interviewed more than 1,000 lawyers from over 107 law firms for the lists of best lawyers. An expert jury selected 36 law firms with 48 highly recommended lawyers from this shortlist.
