Starting gun for Electro-mobility Act
For the first time in his government statement of 31 January 2014, the Federal Minister of Transport Alexander Dobrindt gave notice of an Electro-mobility Act. New incentives are intended to be created for the development of electro-mobility.
The ministerial draft of such an Electro-mobility Act was prepared in the first half-year 2014 and approved by the federal cabinet on 24 September 2014. Subsequently, the draft was sent to the Federal Council for further consideration (BR-Drs. 436/14). The Federal Council last considered the draft on 7 November 2014. In spite of justified criticisms of the Federal Council, general approval of the draft was signaled.
In his contribution in the November issue of PUBLICUS, Christian A. Mayer deals with the background to and the content of the draft and provides an overview of the planned implementation of the legislative initiation of the Electro-mobility Act.
