Noerr advises ABP GmbH on acquisition of Vion Production Facility and on market entry in Germany
A Noerr team led by Thomas Schulz and Vanessa Hoffmann Linhard has advised ABP GmbH, an affiliate of the Irish headquartered ABP Food Group (“ABP”), on its market entry in Germany via the acquisition of Vion Food Group’s beef processing facility in Buchloe.
The Buchloe facility processes approximately 90,000 head of cattle annually, sourced primarily from southern Germany. ABP is a leading European meat processor. The family-owned group supplies retailers and foodservice operators with fresh and frozen meat products from processing facilities in Ireland, the United Kingdom and affiliate sites in the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland. The company recently generated revenues of approximately EUR 5 billion.
