Noerr advises Schwarz Group on takeover of ice cream production facility of dairy group DMK

Noerr has advised Schwarz Group on its acquisition of Rosen-Eiskrem GmbH from DMK Deutsches Milchkontor. As part of this transaction, Schwarz Group is taking over the target’s production facility in Waldfeucht-Haaren (North Rhine-Westphalia), thereby considerably increasing its ice cream production capacity.

Up to this sale, DMK Group, which is Germany’s largest dairy cooperative, has produced ice cream for food retail at three facilities. Its staff of around 200 at the Waldfeucht-Haaren site will be taken over by Schwarz Group. Closing of the sale is to take place at the beginning of 2021, subject to clearance by the competition authorities.
